"Into the West"... (YAWN)
« on: June 14, 2005, 12:33:34 AM »
Should have been entitled, "Jeremiah Johnson Dances With The Mountain Men"... 'cept it lacked the excitement of those films.

Nothing new here... hope the next episode is more interesting.

I'm thinking it will pick up a bit.  This was the opener to set the stage.  Also remember that there are different directors for each episode, so I would expect some to be better than others.  Once it gets out of the mountain man era, I have a feeling it will get more interesting.

Sure hope so.  So far, I can't say alot of positive about it.  Other than it's not a sitcom!

I didn't watch it, but I recorded it.  I'm am most likey gonna go into the shop for repairs in a few weeks and plan to watch it then.  Good or semi-good, it will be far better than most of the poop that they show on TV, so I'm gonna save it till I need it. ;D

I didnt think it wa too bad but there was just so many damn commercials! :-X

Everytime the story would start to pick up here comes a commercial, then another one, then another one. Kind of ruins the show.

Hopefully the other episodes will be a little better.

Each night it was on I'd remind myself to watch it, then got involved in something else. Whoops!

We watched the first episode and agree it was a yawner.  I think Delmonico has the right idea, record it for "rainy" day viewing.
Too bad that it wasn't released in January or February when the weather conditions kept us inside.  We recorded the first episode on DVD and decided to do so with the remaining episodes so we can watch it "put together", at a later date.  Anything will be better than re-runs of "Jaws".
