Man I know how you feel AE! I am marking off the days until spring! We still have at least 8" of melting snow on the ground her in the Ohio! Callin for rain and sleet today and tomorrow, then more snow on Tuesday!     How much are you all supposed to get across the pond?

It may not seem much to some people who have been inundated with snow on your side of the pond, but, in two hours this morning, between 5am and 7am, we received 3 inches.

Now, I know it doesn't seem a lot, but this was coming in from the Southwest, and at 7:30am I was due to leave in a generally Easterly direction, for an 80 mile journey, which normally takes 2 hours.

Get the 'drift'???(Little joke there!)

It is now 18:30hrs, and outside the snow has virtually gone, but, the weather girl has promised us a repeat performance tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow morning I won't care! I'm a pensioner and don't have to poke my nose outside if I don't want to! It was this morning's snow I could have done without!

As for Texas, I do feel sorry for you,honest,but, apparently these weather systems we are getting originated in the Gulf of Mexico.

Now, if I can only prove that some one down there has got a brand new windmill,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Just for a warning for the folks east of Nevada, Reno has between a foot to 2' of the fluffy stuff at the 5,000' level and still coming down. Drivin' to work this morning was fun to say the least
This storm is supposed to taper off tonite but 24 hrs is just about enough for 1 day.
Folks that live to the west of us are trapped on this side of Donner pass

Weather is great here in Victoria BC Canada.  Flowers all over the place, and the sun is finally out a lot!

Only bummer so far is that the US hockey team is up 3 - 2 at the end of the second, with a minute left on a power play.

Shoveled the drive this afternoon while the heater melted the ICE on the van.  It was warm when the temp went below freezing.   We had snow and sleet, about 1 - 2 inches.  Still coming down but not hard.  This has been the worst winter since 1993!  Global warming - BAH HUMBUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
