Somebody please record the show so those of us outside the Evansville station's viewing area can hopefully get a chance to see it.

Meanwhile, I'll be checking my local PBS station's programming, mebbe we'll get lucky and it will air here as well. If so, I'll try to make sure and record it. Am excited to see this show. We've all been waiting for it and I am confident Durango's work will be first-class.

BTW, Durango, much obliged for the tip.

The list of on-air storytellers also includes Dr. Bob

DVDs of the program can be made available if response to the program makes it profitable for WNIN to have the dubs made, it is more cost effective for us to have bulk DVDs burned than for us to do them one at a time.

After the airing it would be best for members of NCOWS who are able to view the broadcast to critic it to other members. Then if you  still want a copy contact WNIN @ 812-423-2973 8:30a-4:30p CST and ask to speak to the director of programming.

Here's a piece from the WNIN web site:

Quote
Return of the Lawmen - Produced locally by WNIN, RETURN OF THE LAWMEN documents the yearly national shoot of NCOWS, or National Congress of Old West Shootists. NCOWS most recent national shoot was held at Evansville’s West Side Sportsman’s Club.

Characters such as, Dr. Bob, Dynamite Bill, Grizzly Bear, and Ima Sureshot, offer interviews that explain what makes NCOWS so special. It’s not just about shooting, it’s about camaraderie. Members of NCOWS also show an interest in the history of the old west.

People from all over the country come to attend the national shoot. It is not uncommon that the whole family will camp out for the weekend event. This particular shoot features the Working Cowboy Class. This class only requires one revolver and one rifle, with one small stipulation; the guns must be pre 20th century style.

NCOWS’ national shoot is not just about fun and shooting; education is also a major part of the event. This event offers a great opportunity to educate kids about the history of the old west, and most importantly gun safety. The NCOWS are very focused on creating a safe and fun environment for their national shoot. Videographer/Producer Wayne Aldridge comments “It’s an honor that a national organization would come to Evansville”.

RETURN OF THE LAWMEN highlights just one of the many events here in Evansville. After watching this program you may find yourself saddling up and heading to an NCOWS event, so tune in February 18th, 7:30pm, unless your yella. WNIN is proud to present this local production, and continue to show why the tri-state area is such a great place to live.

Sounds like it's gonna be a winner!

Somebody in the E-ville area needs to record this for the organization. Would be another GREAT promo piece for us.
I'm hoping WFYI Channel 20 will air it here in the Indy area, but haven't heard anything about it yet.

Reminds me there was another public TV recording at one of the National Matches held at Prairie Fire Range...probably 6-7-8 years ago?
Anyone ever seen that program?
