TW, those splatters work well. It's a good sheath for that knife. It is very suitable for a working knive.

This is a new rig. A Rice holster with my own tooling pattern. The pattern worked out so so. And the seeds are a bit clumsy. The rivets are #14s. I've finally got the hang of those little buggers...

Skeeter, I think you are the King of Color! I Love the color you get on your rigs, and this is a great example. The carving and overall execution of the build is first rate. Could you explain the Rice comment? Is it a style of holster, or perhaps the name of a maker? We of the uninformed would appreciate some education!

The 'Rice' holster refers to the photo on page 101 of Packing Iron. It is much imitated nowadays. The saddler was R. E. Rice of Dodge City.

      Skeeter, this new rig is top notch, and like JD said the color is beautiful, Well Done Pard..... I made a couple Dodge City holsters a few years ago, and they're some of my favorites, Marshal Will did a great job on his also, it's a great style, and very period.
