Are there any good 76 gunsmiths out there?
« on: June 21, 2009, 04:14:34 PM »
After firing 92 rounds of 45-75 yesterday I was reminded just how bad the trigger pull is on my Uberti 76.  I don't have a scale but its heavy and I would like to have it worked over.   I don't want the "cowboy tune" with lightened springs etc. I just want a good service trigger pull.   I am hesitant to send my beloved rifle off to strangers or turn it over to the local gun crank who has no experiance working on a 76.  Is there anyone out there who is doing good work on the 76, preferably in So.  California where I am at the moment?

John Hooper near Victorville/Phelan area is TOP notch. He's done work for me for many years.
