Well Darn!
I seem to be having poor luck on getting a matched set of NMV's.
I ordered my first through my gun dealer last year. I asked for a stainless model in .357. The shipment was delayed and I was needing it for a match the following weekend. He quickly ordered a second, and they sent a CCH model, instead. I was desparate, and so bought the CCH model. The stainless arrived and languished in his gun case for a year. When thieves broke in last month they cleaned him out of semi-autos, but left the stainless Ruger behind.
I finally saved enough for a second gun and thought I'd buy the stainless gun from him, but he sold it. That relieved my guilt, so I ordered another Ruger from him to match the one I bought last year.
The gun that arrived was in .45 Colt. He sent it back (no rush this year). Two days later my new one arrived.
I was shocked to learn when I got it home that it is not a CCH gun, but rather is blued. It more closely matches my ole Blackhawk than my NMV.
Now I gotta wrap my mind around the idea that Blued is close enough.
