Chaparral 1873 revolvers

Can anyone comment on the quality of the 1873 Chaparral revolvers.  I have a friend who is just coming into CAS and is looking for some inexpensive revolvers in .357 mag.  Everyone seems to be out of the Ubertis and Piettas north of the Medicine Line.
