Just found n Old Model Vaquero at my local gun store for an excellent price.  I wanted to get myself something for Christmas and there it was.  Woo hoo!

Thanks.  I haven't been to a gun store in months due to being so busy as a substitute teacher and musician.  I went today on a loark and there it was.  I could tell right awayy even before I handled it that it was an OMV.  Now I have to go shoot it.  Any recommendations on loads to shoot from it?  I know the OMV's were based on the Old Blackhawk and are stronger than the New Vaq's.

I've got an OMV sitting in layaway. It's chambered in .45 Colt with a 5 1/2" barrel, b/cch, faux ivory grips, and gold leaf inlays on the cylinder. Can't wait for my paycheck to come in! ::)
A work in progress.
