.32 Mag Bullets?
« on: August 06, 2008, 05:40:31 PM »
Anyone have any advice on bullets for a .32 mag Ruger Birdshead Single-six?  I've got one that I'd like to shoot, but I'd prefer not to order 500 bullets to find I don't like them.

I've got a general preference for heavy-for-caliber bullets, and intend to push them out to 900 fps or so.

Thoughts?

look toward the 115 gr FN, I don't CAS shoot with them but use the GC version and push them up quit a bit more than that, best load I ever found and I've been shooting this caliber for 20 years.

I load 32 H&R for Fannie Kikinshoot.

You can use the 77 gr slugs with 2.7grs of VV320.

But the 95+ gr slugs seem to do better in her little pistols.

The rcbs 98swc bullet has been working real well in the wifes 32 single six. Bluedot for fast loads and trailboss for pokeypoke. If you don't cast your own you can get those and a few other good choices from www.montanabulletworks.com
