Interested shooter with a possible dumb question.

In all my CAS related research, I have been unable to find an organization that just competes with pistols.  Does such a group exist?  Nothing agains the three gun competitions, but funding is limited and may require a longer wait until I can get involved!

NCOWS has the 'Working Cowboy' class - one revolver and one rifle - and it's proven very popular.

You'll find that C&WAS folks are exceptionally friendly, and will often loan a new shooter not only the weapon needed, but the leather and the ammunition along with it.

I believe you have to be a member of Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) to join in on the MP’s month shoots.  Membership in SASS seems to be $50.00 a year but you can check to make sure at: www.sassnet.com  Then you may or may not have to pay an entry fee into the monthy shoots I'm still checking into that?

I’m new too and plan on joining up with both these groups.  Beats just spinning a revolver while watching westerns on Saturday Morning?

As far as I know there are no CAS groups that only use pistols.  You will need a rifle and a pistol as a minimum.  Like St. George stated I am sure you can find a friendly pard to help you out at a match with the loan of a rifle for a reasonable period of time until you can get your own.  SASS groups require pistols and rifles.
