Honestly, I want to know, now that I have had my fun, how bad does it look? i do want honest answers PLEASE, I don't have much of any cowboy period correct clothes, so i would like to know if people are going to look at me and think I am a bozo?

Seriously pard, it looks like a good vintage cowboy era hat.
I gotta say that it will stick out in a crowd of black and straw hats like no other, but thats what many of us are really striving for, isnt it?? Most of us want to be a little different than the rest of the crowd. Thats why we make fancy leather for ourselves, our wives, and our friends, so that they will be a little different than the guy that bought his off the rack. Its why some of us enjoy cap and ball, and warthog blackpowder loads. Its to be different, and that is the best thing in the world, in my opinion. There are too many cookie cutter things in this world already, so that makes your hat a treasure to behold.
Even if it isnt black....

thanks HP7 Dalton I got a black just like it I could cut down If the Lord is willing I am going to go to a big out door fea market today, maybe if I can walk long enough I might find me some more of that kind of stuff.

Howdy Pards,

 I All of you are having a good weekend!! I am great full for the truthfull aswers!!

Santee, How you doing pard? This is the thruth, i went yesterday to Tulsa (what a nightmare) drove threw the worst rain and hail I have ever drove threw, 20 miles untill I could find a awning to park under, then when the rain lighten up and hail stopped, we started down the road and we drove threw water 2 1/2' deep. What a deal!! But I did get to hit the out door flea market in Tulsa but only a third was set up no hats!! And I mean this, If Ii find any hats this summer at garage sales I will but them ( I buy cheap) I will make anyone a hat they want!
 When I was young and maybe it was the way I was raised, the world was about giving, and over the years I found less and less of that!
 But when I meat you Pards and other Pards In the CAS and SASS the world changed for me, I found the greatest group of people I have ever meet in all my 52 years!!
