Tensleep, when ya get up in the mornin' and start the coffee, build two fyres, so we can sit 'tween them.  It's -4 here now and 33 mph wind from the NNW, don't bother with the conversion, Wind Chill is -19.  Used ta camp in this weather, out of a pickup camper.  Sit tween two fyres, put small bucket of embers in a bucket under the sheet metal lawn chairs.  (Not too many or ya burn yer arse) and put the beer in the cooler with no ice ta keep it from frezzin'.  Drink it quick or keep it near the fyre or it freezes.  Fact is yer whisky won't freeze, but keep it near the fyre or if yer not careful you'll frostbite yer gullet, understand that is nasty.  :o :o :o

Most likey be hidin' under ma quilts when ya get up, keep the pot woarm fer my, a nice light roasted Kenya AA would be fine. ;D ;D  Some nice greasy bacon would be fine also, fuel ta keep ya warm.

Good grief Del, do you think you are the King of Arabie to get treatment like that? The fires are hot and coffee is on. No, it isn't some fancy Kenyan stuff, and you can cook yer own bacon. I'm busy staying dry!

Na, just a pooore ol' cosie who is all stiff and cold and"STILL" feels like someone beat him and has the black and blue marks ta prove it. :o :o  Twernt' enough coffee in any sack to make a pot so I mixed the sacks, havin' Costa Rican, Columbian and Guatamalian as a mix.  Tain't bad really, could mix it and sell it ta the yuppies as "Cosie Mix." ;D ;D ;D

Weather thingy on screen says -2, will drink 'most the pot a coffee and go run erronds if the ol' Olds starts, don't have no fancy device ta' start it from the house, they don't make one a dem dat will pump the gas pedal.  Makes me glad fer indoor plumpin', it's cold out, glad I don't have to take it out, ya wouldn't want to leave it out. ::)

It's -6F here. Windchill -24F. My diesel didn't sound very well after I started it even though it was plugged in. I will have to start it at lunch so it will start after verk. I don't like it when it is this cold.  :(

MM, I don't know when I'll be shooting at another match. I got my new/used revolvers back from the smith and traded over my good ones for him to slick up. Then I took the used ones out to shoot. I knew the front sight had been filed, but didn't know the rear ones had been messed with, too. At 25 yards, with the sights lined up, I was shooting over TWO FEET high. So, until I get my good ones back, I'll have to be taking these out to the home range and shooting a lot of ammo through them until my eyes and hands can get them to consistently shoot on target at CAS distances.

Like I told a friend last night... if I ever, EVER consider purchasing another used firearm, you have my permission to beat me with my own hat.

Slim, I feel your pain!  (Literally as I live only 50 miles south of him)

Man it is cold out.  I'm not sure if I could get through 1 stage at -10!  Sure would have hated to be a trooper going on patrol in this weather :o :o

Annie, those things .45's? What weight lead you usin? with the fronts filed, the previous owner had to be using lighter weight lead. More than likely 165's or some such with really low charges............Buck 8) ::) :-\

Oops, posted this over on the quiet thread. Buck, they're .45 Ruger Vaqueros and I don't really hate them. It's not their fault someone took a dremel to their front and rear sights. I figure the previous owner was running a different (lighter) load through them. In my other set, I worked up a load I could use without touching the sights. I could pay to have these sights replaced, or could send them back to Ruger, but then Ruger would undo all the good work my smith did to them. Or, I could cook up a new load for them, but I really don't want to do that. Theoretically, since all four of my revolvers are 5 1/2" RVs, they should shoot to about the same place with the same load, if they are aimed properly. I just have to learn how to aim the ones with the changed sights.

So I shoot up a ton of ammo in the process... is this a bad thing?

Almost forgot. Good afternoon, didn't get on this morning, was waitin' on a repair guy for the dryer and had to talk to Dillon this morning too. My blue experience is kinda semi-sweet at this time. Havin' some problems and a piece broke. Don't know how either. Got it new/ used/unused off E-Bay with a bunch of extras and 500 primed brass. Even the primed brass had to be sized, crimping problems. went to run some last night and had three stuck cases >:( This is the first time I've ever had to lube straight sided brass to size it. These are Rems.( not real fond of Rem. pistol brass anyway), I'm not a happy camper at the moment. My fired cases went through it right nice. Those stuck cases had the rims go. dillon's sending me a new part for the one that broke and another shell plate even though I didn't request one. They are getting to know me well. Made a suggestion for the owners manual as well, they don't stae which way to turn the measure adjustment for more/ less in the instructions. I think it would be helpfull. It's partly sunny here at the moment with a temp of 26 by my weather bug. We're doing okay waterwise, but south of us they're evacing people as they are afraid freezing up will keep emergency vehicles from getting someone out if needed. There's also an earth dam leaking down there as well. These aren't needed for years and then once in a blue moon they are. This one I've been varmint hunting at at times. They wre worried then about ground hogs making holes in the dry face then. Maybe the leak is a ground hog hole!........Buck 8) ::) :o
