After I read this post I went on line and read a review of "Aces & Eights" (the 2008 version). The critic didn't like it and that usually means I might like it. Seen it at Best Buy today and bought it. Now I'm not a movie critic by any means but it was OK. The movie seemed to hold my interest and I didn't fall asleep watching it.

Ernie Borgnine is one of the main characters. One of the neat parts about this movie is an interview with Ernie in the special features section. Ernie is ninety years old and is still pretty sharp. On the movie set, he is presented with the Gun & Holster rig that he used when he was in the "Wild Bunch".

I picked up a copy of the movie at Sams Club a week or so ago and I wartched it today.  It was a pretty good western in my opinion.  It had some wild gunfights in it.  A scene where the main character saws off part of the shotgun barrel and then tries it on some bottle targets was entertaining...

All in all it was a good western. Good action, plot was fine. The acting was much better than most low budget ones made in the last couple of years.
I liked Bruce Boxlietner's character the best.

Well I caught Aces n' Eights last weekend, it had its moments. The final showdown was a little too surreal...how many bullets did Luke soak up ? I've also seen Long Rider by the same outfit and I liked it better...but thats just me.

Just saw it.
Thought it was fun to watch, but the historian folks could find a lot ta turn em off.  Also the Clint Eastwood impression at the end was a bit cheesy.
Better than anything new I've seen lately.  I'd reccomend it ta any one who likes a lot of gun fighting action.

Thanks.  I've got it on my Netflix list, but I keep thinking of other movies I want to see first...
