Shot my new Uberti '76 yesterday
« on: April 05, 2008, 07:39:32 AM »
Great experience! I only had time to shoot 15 rounds. I shot 5 each of 777, Pyrodex and 2ff elephant. They all worked well and very little felt recoil with a full case and 300gr bullets. I was shooting off hand at 50 yards and the elephant BP shot the best, all five shots in a fist sized group. Very pleased with the big boomer to say the least! ;D

Good choice. Assuming that you're not addicted to black powder, it will do anything a 45-75 can, and cheaper, too.

I'm addicted to BP in front loaders, but with cartridge guns, I'm "bi-powderal".

With your eye sight and advanced age we would call your shots a "pattern" instead of a group...... ;D
