When I lived at home in Miami, and had just graduated High School.
Dr. Don Tarr was a neighbor, on the block behind and one house over.
I'd see his Daytona on a trailer at his house and go check it out.
Super nice guy, I'd guess he's in his late 80's now.

A lot on those '60's Mopar's are getting really rare. Rust problems? I had a '70 Dart Swinger at one time, not a HP car just the slant 6, but it was a honey. Was going to fix up the rust on it when I crunched it in an ice storm. Got it home and was calling my ins. when the frame broke in the drive. End of car :( :-\ :'(

That Swinger was a nice looking car. Dark green bottom with a green vinyl roof, green vinyl interior, fake wood steering wheel. Once I got some maintenence done, it ran like a top ::)

I had a Orange colored  ' cuda, Black Roof.  Surprizingly never got into trouble with the Law, in that car. Not for the lack of trying. The Rivera I had was different story. I should ask my former wife if she has any photos of it.

What engine did you have in that 'cuda,lR? One of the guys I grew up with had a '70 Challenger with the 340. Metallic brown with a brown vinyl top and brown interior. Sharp car, at least until he rolled it in a corn field ::)

Had a van with the 318.Also had the Plymouth version of the Aspen wagon Slim had, as well as one of those Chrysler land yachts but with the 400. That wagon was the only vehicle that our oldest couldn't destroy, but it sure had problems with the doors freezing up. Can't count how many times I had to crawl in the rear hatch during winters ::) :-\

Had a 1978 Dodge Magnum with a 360 in it,Had the lean burn computer that sucked,so I replaces it with an Edelbrock  aluminum intake and a Holly650 4bbl carb. Also had to change the distributor so it would have a vacuum advance.Wish I had kept that one.Looked like this one. (without the flowers on the hood)

360's have real valves and ports, had a 79 with the stock thermo-quad, to be truthful the best car I ever owned, fast enough and got 23 or so on the highway.

I've heard 360 heads on a 318 makes them a decent moter.

Changed valve cover gaskets and rebuilt the two barrel Carter on the van,IIRC. It was a nasty mess under those covers. Also put headers on the van, that was my first experience with a Chioropractor after turning myself into a pretzel under it. Have had back and neck problems ever since. Biggest problems I had with Mopars was the tranny coolers in the radiators going bad and sending antifreeze into the tranny's , burning them up. Cooked a 904 and a 727 that way. ::) :-\
