The snow storm took my satellite dish off line just before the start of the first Gatorade races at Daytona. I had to resort to watching on my laptop with Race Buddy. It wasn't too bad. The Dish came back on line about 5 minutes ago. At least I've got another venue if the Dish goes down again.

Happens to me whenever we get a wet heavy snow. I keep a long pole with a foam brush on the end. When the Dish starts to act up, bushing the slush off the dish puts it back on line. Wish my dish was a little close to the ground, so I could do it without the pole.

The snow we had yesterday and last was heavy and wet. My Dish is mounted on a piece of 10 inch drill pipe that is about six feet off the ground. We went out yesterday afternoon and wiped off the dish and it came back on.

Son-in-law’s got theirs mounted on a six by six I reckon ‘bout six feet er so up. They lose the signal in storms ‘n snows. Both of ‘em were raised on cable ‘n they still ain’t used to it. The way it’s built up up their way I'm sorta surprised they ain’t run fiber optics stuff

Ennyways nothin’ in Daytona right now. Rainin’ the last time I looked. The talkin’ heads ain’t doin’ nuttin’ but havin’ Dani-gasms. Mebbe it'll clear up by the truck race this evenin’. I hope.
