Hey...new guy here.
Why do these go for $800+? They are by far the most expensive repro that Uberti makes.

Limited production and a lot more machining than a Colt clone. Uberti casts the Colt clone frame in one piece. The Schofield has to have machining on the hinge and top strap latch to make everything works right.

Howdy,
The Laramie is a bit more expensive and I think that the Russian is too. More little parts and an opening frame are a lot more machine work.
Just got my Laramie and really like how it feels. The New Model 3 grip frame is just right for my hand! But I still like my Beretta Stampede Colt clone a lot too. The new one shoot POA and I am extremely happy with it too.

No question it is a matter of more machining, fitting and more parts, but these guns still cost less than a Colt 3rd Gen. SAA and are very well made.

IMO the Uberti Schofields are well worth the money. They are fine guns.
