Yep I think any of us that were lucky enough to have known her miss the Grand Lady.  She could definitely get a smile out of you even when you were having a bad match.  :( :'(

Yeah. When it came ta that she was selective. She wanted advice she’d ask.

Bought a box of 200 grain RNFPs for her when she started reloading. Handed ‘em to her.

‘What are these for?’

‘Gift to a rookie reloader.’

‘200 grain?’

She graciously accepted but ya could tell, to her each was about 50 grains too light. Betcha she never opened the box.

Ya know,

It would sure warm my heart to think I waz being remembered (fondly at that) a year after I had departed. Says a lot about Miz Lee that we are still thinkin about her...

Not long ago I went back thru the Kumbuya Part Deaux thread. That sure ain't anything like the USFA/Colt whose better thread, (altho, I think Miz Lee would have some commentary to impart to folks on a subject dear to her heart...)

Seeing Annie Lee's name on the thread sure brought a smile to my face!!  Just the other day we were talking about making jelly and home made soap and it made me think of her cause she could do it all.  Ya'll should have seen the shed she built herself - complete with windows!!  None of us have heard from Charlie in a long time.  He's 18 years old now and may be in his Senior year at the military academy or he may have graduated last year.  I know that he is the same age as my son, but his birthday was later in the year, thus I am thinking that he may have been a year behind in school.  We are all hoping that he will wake up and decide to come shoot with us again -- after all, he has all those slicked rifles and pistols of Annie's waiting for him!  He won't have to worry about the price of ammo -- she reloaded enough for a revolution!!  :o)  Annie liked to be prepared!!  I am sewing an outfit from some of Annie's fabric and so she's been on my mind alot lately!!  Things just aren't as LIVELY as they used to be when she was shooting with us!  She kept us all smiling!  Happy Near Year Annie from all your shootin' pards!!
