                B.C. Law Dog, the pouches can be for show, but there ment to be used as a place to put eighter your stage ammo or your spent caseings.

I use a cap box made for me by Elpaso Leather that works very well for my rifle rounds if I am wearing a black powder belt.  It nicely holds 10, 45 caliber rounds.  I then stick my pistol rounds in my vest pocket and walk up to the loading table.  I kind of like the look of a gun belt without ammo loops.   Regards.  Deadeye.

                      I guess I kinda like all the different types of rigs out there , there being a different application for all of them, My next gun belt is a no bullit loop money belt that I'm working on now , I agree sometimes it's nice to just have a lighter rig to wear. On this one I'm going to build a slide for 10 rounds of 45 cal. and maybe a pouch, I' not shure on the pouch yet, Back in the 60's when I used to shoot in Quick draw comp., I had three rigs made by the late Alfonso Pinada, and only one had bullit loops , that extra weight can tire you out earlyer than you want. And like you said, use the vest packets , I know I do, even when it's just a walk in the woods. I still like getting all decked out in my cowboy atire, and there is something about a gun belt full of bullits from one end to the other, even if you can only wear it for a few hours, thats the fun with this cowboy stuff, and being able make my own leather I can change things when ever I feel like it.
