Oh I forgot....during my non-shooting period....in a moment of weakness.....I bought a pair (i.e. two) Walker Colts.  I ain't shot them yet.

WW, I was hopin' to see if you could hoist them both and shoot 'em gunfighter style.    ;D ;D ;D ;D
Might go good with the 10ga.

PR, if you are there too, we can all take a turn.

LR, I will send you a picture!

It would be nice to get the whole F&B Posse together for SOM VIII. Get the set up people to put us all together. Let the part - time wanna be smoke makers shoot in the other Posse. You know the ones that start choking from the fumes when a true Soot Lord starts shooting.

I hope the picture is compressed enough to upload.  Here is a picture of the F&B posse several years ago at Wakefield.

Yes I am PR. I can't see keeping them when it hurts to work the ram for loading or remove the wedge. Not to mention it hurts just to hold them out extended without even firing a round.

It would be great to get the new F&B posse (including the original gang) for a picture.  The new folks would include Potter and Sod Buster.  Flatboat Bob has moved away from the darkside so I'm not sure who else would be included.

I remember when I started the only ones I knew who shot BP exclusively were Arcey and Wildman both of whom brought me over to the darkside.  LCR started shooting with us shortly thereafter (in Pungo).  LIT started at some point but I don't remember when I met Tom so I'm not sure if was shooting BP in those days.  LIT was there anyone else back at Pungo in '01/'02 timeframe?

It has been a great 12 years with the hope for at least another 12 ahead.

Plan to be there also.  Not sure if I'll bring the new to me Remingtons or the Colts.  I've not shot the Remingtons but I guess but I suppose there is no time like the next match to start.

Walkers?

What?!? all six stages...I don't think so.  Them suckers eat up twice the amount of powder that the others take (50gr vs 25gr per cylinder).
Although....I do have a lot of shootin' to make up for...since I have been gone so long....hmmmmmmm.....
I got penance to pay!  ;D

Well SB it looks like you and I will have to uphold the F&B posse's good name.  I got a new inline capper today to Bass Pro Shop.  I found that the snail capper just didn't seem to work on the Remingtons.  I think I'll bring them and see how it goes.

I'm looking at getting some small glass capped vials to work on a setup like Potter's has with his powder.  I thought if I load the powder into the individual vials the loading would go faster.  What do ya'll thinK.  I can get 2 dram vial for around 40 bucks for 114 vials.  Only really need 60 but that will give me extras if I they start getting damaged.  They are a little over 1/2 in at the mouth and about 2.3 inches long.  Seems like they would fit over the cylinder opening nicely.  Also should hold up to about 70gns in case I wanted to use them for my muzzleloading rifle.

I used .223 cartridges with the bottle neck shape they made a perfect place for store and pour for each cylinder.

I have seen people use the 223 in a dipper and a converted nozzle for BP cans.

Don't have any 223 but I do have 30-30 cartidges.  Wonder if they would also work?  How would you keep the powder from falling out after filling them?

I may have to shift over to cartidges this weekend.  With the reduced number of BOD members I've agreed to help out.  Not sure I can deal with loading C&B and helping out in a more significant way than loading or unloading tables.  I think I'll take the conversion cyclinders and try out the Remmies.  No time like the present.   ;D
