Funny ya should mention ol' Hoyt, Today I waz listenin' to some of his greatest on the way to work...I miss that guy.
first time I saw him was in a little club in Newport Beach called the Prision of Socrates. there was 4 other people in the audience. He suggested we all just adjorn to his apartment, then launched into GreenBack Dollar and stompin' on that old squeeky chair.
He was a class act...

It must have been the day of the dead, as the next cd to come up was old Roy Bucannan. (pardon the spelling) He did such a killer version of Green Onions...

Anyways, it was a meloncoly ride to work to be sure today...
