Nephew has a good friend who is black he went through high school with, they are always over to Mom's working on pick-up's.  Elijah came to the store a couple of years ago and bought a hat.  Was over to Mom's and asked him how the hat was.  He said fine but folks sometimes made comments about a black guy wearin' a cowboy hat.  Looked at Daniel and did my real serious like I do so well, "You never tolt me Elijah was black."

The Elijah would have spit coffee if he'd been drinkin' it and tolt me I was cooler than he thought I was. ;D

Got 2 brothers and their wives from Omaha that cowboy shoot.  The one decided to do Buffalo Soldier, we put the stuff together and was gettin' a hat cord.  he liked the fancier one and asked why I had grabbed the plain yellow one.  Put my hand on his shoulder and said, I can't, it's an officers cord.  He acted sad and said, "They never let us do the really cool stuff back then." ;)

If I could stand Bob Marley, I'd play that song just fer yer friend.
Unfortunately, I despise him an am still looking fer somethin fun ta play.

I know the song, not bad for Marley.  Do not watch Buffalo Soldiers with Danny Glover, or if you do, shut it off 10 minutes before the end, typical Liberal he shames the memory of some of the best soldiers of the Indian Wars with his PC feel good ending.  That movie makes me as made as DWW. :P

Colorado State  Hi stoical Society has one of the best Buffalo Soldier collection in the world.  Was moved from a temp display from Denver to Ft Garland in 97-98, storage was needed between places till Ft. Garland was ready.  NSHS helped them out and "stored" it for a year on our second floor.  Did a lot of tours of it when I was a docent, wish we could have kept it.  Besides the Buffalo Soldier part, it was great for just teaching IW soldiers.

Good one, early version byfore Roy, with Bob Nolan at lead vocals.

Robert has this thing locked up so tight with internet condoms I have to hit ctr as will as left click to get links to open, guess that's good.

Computor in Tack ended up with what we had, wish the IT guy luck tommorow.

Here's a guy that lives ta keep the sounds flowin.  This aint with his original band but thought it was a great version.  Plus he looks like a fool in all the 80's stuff.  Everybody did.  This is just him an his band kickin butt.  Learnin ta play this one on the guitar with the solos was an adventure.

The Bronze Buckaroo, his 1994 version of that with MMM and the San Antonio Philharmonic on the Sagebrush Symphony tour is great, a "Delmonico's Choice" CD, and don't be afraid to crank that sucker up. ;D

Del, I really enjoyed Ken's singing solo and with the Sons. Buck has done a print of Ken as Festus to go along with the one he did of James Arness as Matt. I've got them framed alike to hang next to each other in my living room.

I saw Herb (the Bronze Buckaroo) at the 2003 End of Trial in Norco, when SASS created the Buckaroo Bronze award.  He was pushing 92 at the time, and need help getting up on the stage, but the voice was still strong and wonderfull!!!

I have a cut of him with MMM that I'm not sure of the date, but that waas as strong as his voice was.

I didn't realize how old Herb is, until I started doing the math. He's seen a lot of folks come and go in music as well as the movies.

God I love that song.  It was originaly on a record called "The Presure is On".  I ran right out an bought it with every last dime I had.  Wore the sucker out quick.  The last song on it is called "The Ballad of Hank Williams".  I can't post it here.

What does ma heart good about this one is that he mentions we's from North California and South Alabam.  Thanks Wiry, been awhile.
