It's a few days late - and I have NO relevant song, but congratulations on that 34 years.  And a BIG hoo-rah for Mrs. Lawdog!  ;D

OK, is this one OK? ;D

Hey daddy I've got a problem
Last night I took my girlfriend for a ride
And the way she touched my hand dad
Got this funny feeling deep inside

So I leaned over and I kissed her
Put my arms around her and then
Well she reached up and she slapped me
Said you're just like all the other men

Son you're talking to the wrong man
If you want to know what girls are all about
You're talking to the wrong man
I still ain't got your mama figured out

By the way son I've got a problem
I wonder could you talk with me awhile
See lately your mama she ignores me
Hardly ever gives me a little smile

So I was thinkin' maybe you could show me
The way you younger fellas comb your hair
Think I need to change my style son
Could you show me something really cool to wear

Dad you're talking to the wrong man
If you want to know what girls are all about
You're talking to the wrong man
Still ain't got my girlfriend figured out

So I guess we'll just go fishing
Maybe head out to that old golf course today
When our buddies ask us about women
I think I know exactly what we'll say

Boys you're talking to the wrong men
If you want to know what girls are all about
You're talking to the wrong men
Still ain't got them women figured out
Still ain't got them women figured out

Del

Thank you for the invite....On the way to work I was playin Roy Bucannon (sp), since there ain't no words to his down and dirty version of Green Onions..which I hit the repeat button about 10 times...here is an oldie from long time ago. It was the B side of a mild single hit quite a few years ago...any ideas:

Sun Arise come every mornin'
Sun Arise come every mornin'
Sun Arise come every mornin'
Bringin' back the warmth to the ground

Sun Arise fillin' up the hollow
Sun Arise fillin' up the hollow
Sun Arise fillin' up the hollow
Bringin' back the warmth to the ground

Sun Arise, she come every mornin'
Sun Arise, each and every day
Sun Arise, she come every mornin'
Sun Arise
ever-y ever-y ever-y ever-y day

She drive away the darkness everyday
She drive away the darkness everyday
She drive away your darkness everyday
Bringin' back the warmth to the ground

Sun Arise
Whoa-oh-oh
Sun Arise
Whoa-oh-oh
Sun Arise
Whoa-oh-oh
ever-y ever-y ever-y ever-y day

He played his guitar in the Movie"Roadhouse" with Patrick Swayze. He had an unusual playing style. He played it like a dobrough.

Lest un not forget that Mr. Healy was blind as well.  First saw him on Johnny Carson jus as I was gettin into guitar--half inspired me an half made me consider packin it in.  Angel Eyes has always been one of my favorites from the "See the Light album.

here's one  from another we lost not too long ago

      E                  B                  A
Iâm a man whoâs goinâ to hell with heavenâs blessing
    E                  B                A
The judge said Iâm not fit to live with men
        E             B                  A
Theyâre building me a gallows in the courtyard
   E                 B              A
To make sure I donât pass this way again

   E              B                   A
My first taste of killinâ was at Vicksburg
  E          B                A
I must have shot me a hundred men
  E                  B                 A
I learned to make my livinâ with a six-gun
       E              B             A
Iâm an outlaw now but I was a hero then

Chorus:
E             B               A
Lord if I had only known the misery
     E                 B                 A
That gloryâs somethinâ not worth killinâ for
  E               B                A
I wish now I had never touched the handle
                 B      E
Of a Hairtrigger Colt .44

E       B             A
I was a hunted desperado
  E                 B           A
A wanted man with a price on my head
  E                     B                   A
I thought that I could steal a taste of freedom
  E        B                  A
I got me a hangmanâs noose instead

Repeat Chorus
E          B            A
Undertaker write on my tombstone
  E              B                  A
A killer finally killed and nothinâ more
  E                      B               A
I wouldnât be here if it hadnât been for Providence
                  B      E
And a Hairtrigger Colt .44

Repeat Chorus 2x
