Pigskin liner
« on: March 21, 2007, 10:27:36 PM »
I just received a beautiful holster today from Classic Old West Styles out of El Paso that has a pigskin liner. The problem is that it seems very 'grippy', and my pistol hangs up when drawing it. Will the liner get smoother, or is there some way to treat it to fix this problem?

Thanks

Pig skin is slightly thicker and softer than kangaroo skin, which is used in Australia more than not. It is also a little more porous. After a period of time, it will compress sufficiently, but until then use some talcum powder on the inside. It will smooth things up a bit.

Hope that helps.
