« on: March 12, 2007, 06:41:37 AM »
Hello SSS,

Thought you might be interested in seeing a Spencer Carbine converted to Shotgun use.  Permission to post photos and text received from John Gunderson of http://www.Gundersonmilitaria.com

Spencer repeating military carbine, converted to shotgun. Serial number 17416. Bore measures about .67" or 16 gauge. 28" barrel. Faint military cartouche visible in buttstock. Metal surfaces are smooth and clean with a pleasing medium patina. Good magazine tube in butt. Stock very good, free of cracks, shows average wear and scattered minor light marks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
