No. 3, 1st Model and No. 3, 2nd Model

Seems like these are on backorder everywhere!

Question.  Are there any significant differences between the 1st and 2nd model other than the top latch?

From what I've read the 2nd model was to address "concerns" about the 1st models latching system.  Is the latching system on the 1st model still a concern?

Any other differences between the two models (as related to the Uberti repo)?  My brother has one and I shoot it quite a bit.  I have one ordered one.  Cannot remember if his was a Model 1 or a Model 2 (there are out of town).
