Howdy pards................I am coming back into blackpowder shootin, I drop out of the cowboy scene for a while and gotta get me new shootin irons. What I like to know is what do you think is a better gun for blackpowder cartridge in .45 Colt. I have reloaded blackpowder cartridges before.

I think Rugers are the most reliable for BP cartridge.

Yes, I do think your right, I had ss Rugers before. I don't think there is nothing can beat the old reliable RVs. I guess I all readly made up my mine, huh.     Gimpy

Well I have gotten great results from my Roogers in 45 Colt. Now I am shootin a pair in 38 again Great Results.


I also use without fail a 73 and a 66 in 45 Colt.


My set up as we speak is a 73 in 44/40 or a 66 in 38 and 2 Roogers.

Next year those Roogers will go into the safe and my 58's will come  out for some matches.
