I have found the scientific practice of phrenology to be quite lucrative.  Where else does one get to provide such a great service as to inform worried parents about the future prospects of their young 'uns.  Or to help a concerned father as to the prospects of the young gentleman who is asking for his daughter's hand.

On the other hand, there are risks.  Just last weekend I was run out of Dilley when I told the father of a beautiful young lady that her suiter was likely to beat his wife and run out on his children.

...How was I supposed to know that the young man was the son of the mayor?
