Frontier Spot down again!!

Am I the only one having dificulty logging in on the Frontier Spot? This seems to be an ongoing situation, maybe we shoudl consider making Cas City our main meeting place.

It's not my style to complain about TFS being down so much, 'cause of the fact that El Cajon does it all free gratis and only gets a few donations to support it. 

I am grateful for the "Spot" and for the hard work that several folks do, El Cajon especially!

I figure that when the "Spot" is down, I catch up here or on the Wire.

Howdy Bill,

I don't go to the Spot much anymore, in large part because of all the outages. Like many of our generation I'm a slave to instant gratification (Yeah, we worked hard and sacrificed to get where we are, but this here internet thing is addicting!)

EC has provided a very nice service but the current unreliability gets frustrating. So...why not hang our hats right here! CAS City is the oldest CAS site on the web, it's stable, only been down fer an extended period once that I know of, and they's always some fun folks around!

I understand where you're coming from, free is nice but nothing is really free in life. I'm with Cuts on this one, it gets kinda frustrating when the Spot goes down as much as it does.

I remember several years ago when CASCITY was the only place that NCOWS folks had to gather, and we did alot of posting on here, then with the big hardware crash folks went over to the Spot for the NCOWS discussions, with the nature of computers these day, it's nice that we can use both boards for our discussions...

 ???It seems that the Spot has some server problems---unreliability or glitches---as a newer kid on the street I personally prefer CAS City and as far as NCOWS is concerned SASS is the only game in town here on Long Island. I am fortunate in the fact that my club "The Hole In The Wall Gang" seems to go for the "spirit of the game" to the point I like, though if it became a choice I would eventually go with the NCOWS group for the historical end. While many consider $A$$ as the money group the easy and relaxed atmosphere I have experienced at my home matches is what I am looking for. I will go to some outside matches and see if I like them as well, if not I am very happy with the 6 or 7 matches I can shoot with my group. To me at age 74 it's not the winning that's necessary---it's staying a kid a little while longer.
