Whoa, way kewl!  I like, I want.  Quit teasing.  When will they be available for Pietta, Uberti and ASM?   

Imagine that.  No more cap frags in the action and a hotter flame.  Might take a bit longer to prep, but well worth it for a more reliable ignition.  Just gotta keep one chamber with a stock nipple for those on the clock reloads.

 I think a similar device was used in the late 1800's on rifles but I never heard of them on pistols. I wonder if SASS would consider these:

1. External modification
2. Internal modification
3. No modification
4. Something we can't even think of

Now that's about as cool an item as I've seen in a hounds age! Given yer gun laws on that side of the pond I can see why someone came up with the idea...it makes a C&B revolver about as close to a center fire as one can get without actually being one!

Not to toss any water on things, however, do I remember correctly that there is a similar nipple named "Hotshot" marketed in USA for inline muzzle loaders? Think it uses 209 shotshell primers.

Gonna play devil's advocate here--How do ya get the old primers out?  They would have to come out b4 ya reload if ya stick a wire thru from the front.  How do ya load the primers in the base part, & still get them right side up? (fumble fingers)  Where will ya put the firing pin part while ya load the primer?  Most loading tables ain't level and some have cracks and such.   Looks like you would need one of them security type screw drivers to put the firing pin part back in when there is a primer in.   Now if ya could do it like a R&D cylinder (take'n the cylinder out of the pistol-  Then it would be easier.  Not trying to rock the boat- Just have questions on how it would work at a match.
