I have shot with a guy in Mississippi that shot those suckers one handed with conversion cylinders.

They weighed a lot but he did have huge arms!:)

SB showed me the pair of Walkers last weekend.  There is no way on earth I would try to shoot gunfighter with those monsters.  I don't think I've got the arm strength to hold them up long enough to get through the stage.   Might be fun trying though.    ;)

hehehehehe!!!
I might bring them to the PMCG shoot next weekend (6/22) and make sure they work.

Do any of you get up to the Pepper Mill Creek Gang shoots?  I shot my last stage there all BP, which I must admit was really cool.

I am hoping to make it to the next one on Sunday 6/22.

Good day of shooting for great pards.  Did shoot very well but it was a great shoot anyway.  I was shooting the 5" Colts and it took me a stage to remember the aim point for them.  Very much different than the Remmingtons.  It will be interesting to move from match to match shooting the Colt Armies, the Remmington Armies and the Viqueros.  I may go back to the Rugers next match.  Have to see what the weather is doing.

Dang I love shooting BP!!!!!!!!!!!!     ;D

Wahoooo - great day shooting with WW and other pards and pardettes.

Sarah needed a break due to getting shots in her arm.

That allowed me to play with my Rogers and Spencer pistolas - C&B sure can be fun!

SB did you use the Walkers yesterday?

Nothing much on the to do list that could be done with showers in the morning.  So I did some bullet casting.  Got another couple hundred out but the melter didn't seem to want to pour very well.  I think something must have been plugging up the spout.  I've got plenty of little boolets to last me for awhile so I'll have to heat it up, empty it and see if I can figure out what is going on.  Maybe I found an excuse to get me one of them new fancy Lyman melters.   ;)

Nope.  I forgot to pack them!  Next time for sure.
I shot clean all day (er dirty) with the 1860 Colt C&B guns.  It was a blast....especially stage 3 when the smoke just sat there.  The weather turned a bit sour for that stage.  It started raining slightly.  Perfect BLACK POWDER WEATHER!  ;D I couldn't see the targets but apparently I hit both bulls eyes (2 bonuses).

I need to get into bullet casting.....some day.....sorry you had troubles.

I'm taking some time off next week starting on Wed.  I'm gonna try to get out to see Nate with the hope he can give me a quick solution for the Remmie.  If so I'll C&B with them, if not then I'll C&B with the Colts again on the 5th.

I shot the rifle and revolvers using BP, I'm not set up to reload shotgun shells yet.  Which is unfortunate, as my IAC 87 didn't like the Winchester AAs I was using Sunday.  Someone on The Wire is supposed to be sending me some brass shells, still waiting on them.

Owning a 87 myself can attest AA or any Remington silver green gold casing work best. I have used rolled crimped paper hulls and brass magtech both with a degree of  difficulty.  I would try and but a little bit of a roll on the brass rounds. To avoid hangs ups when cycling.  Regardless the 87 is full of style and awesome points. I believe one of the PMGC members ues a '87 also.  Black Jack

Good Luck with the Pepper Mill Gang is a fun club to shoot with .

Enid City Kid down at Cavalier shoots Black out of his 87.  Might be work talking to him for some pointers.

Kimchee:  The way your AA hulls are getting stuck makes me think they are not getting resized all the way.

Sadly, they're new factory rounds, which is why they're smokeless.  The one time I went to Cavalier I did not see any 87s, looks like after the summer beach traffic ends I'm going back and shooting with them.  Next week, Virginia City Marshalls, smokeless only since they're indoors.  I'll probably give the Taurus Thunderbolt a workout then.
