Subway tonight. Wife wanted a shade for a lamp she picked up. I got a new meter. The strips for it are $9 for 50. Heck of a lot cheaper than the One Touch I had. With the changes I got coming up in June, gotta start thinking cheap where I can. Del, I got a big Chevy 4x4 sitting in the drive. 3 quarter stuff on a 1 ton chassis with the newer version of the 454 motor. Things a beast, set up for plowing snow and salt spreading. Crank type windows too. No electric stuff on it. It does have the shift on the fly setup though ::) :o

Buck, that's where many including me think Chevy/GMC  made a big mistake, the Dodge and the Fords that are 3/4 and 1 ton still have the lock-out hubs, the Chevy's set-up is not as strong and they have a reputation for breaking stuff up front when used hard.

Thanks for the Cawffee this morning. Buck, you 'll have to get used to the rough ride, the 3/4 or 1 ton plus the 4x4 are heavy duty.  They don't ride like a half ton. I had a 3/4  and a 1 ton when I had a horse trailer and a big boat. I have gotten rid of all that stuff and a heavy duty half ton serves my purposes just fine. We are supposed to get some rain  today and the temp will be in the low 80s, so much for spring.

Mornin' all.  Thought I'd better check in, it's been a while.  Been back on the chemo & so far it's been tolerable. Amazing what we can learn to tolerate.

Del called to check on me over the weekend but we only talked a minute because I told him I had company.  My sister brought her new boyfriend to meet me & they spent almost a week at our house.  Had a nice visit & really liked the new boyfriend.  Seems a funny label for a 64 year old man.  Sister's only 50, but they seem to get along good.

It's the Spring Plays season so that means early morning practices for us drama geeks.  Got a good turn out, hope a lot of them show up in the fall for the competitive season.

Been havin some spring-like weather here but its cooler today. 33º maybe a high of 48º.

I got my errands done and the rain came. It is just enough to mess up the windshield. I got a chicken sandwich and a Diet  DP for lunch.

Went to Verizone and had them install a weather radar site on my phone, worth the $2.95 a month and I can dump it when the storm season is over.  Couldn't figure it out, took Omar quite a while, but he asked another guy and they had an idea, guess I need a smart phone but don't need one really.  LOL

We are having Chicken Fajitas for supper tonight. I wish that it would really rain instead of this misting.

Why do wimmin think a thermostat is a throttle and not a cruise control?   ::)  If the furnace is off and you turn it on because you are cold, turning it to 78 will not heat the house faster, it will just heat it longer.  :P

Must something in their genes, Del. The two I got here freeze at 70 ::) :-\

A note for Arcey and TLD, When we got home from band practice tonight, the home next door's door was a jar. Nobody's been there for over a week now. They did have a water leak that we had to shut the water off last week. There were some repair guys there the other day, but no one since. I notified the manager and they're going to call the contact number to get someone out here to check the house. Meantime, she had me go ahead and see if the door would latch with a push, which it did. Pushed it shut with a bandana on my hand though, just in case there was some illegal happening there. Might know more tomorrow ::) :o :-\

Not sure what was going one around here this afternoon, was a Stater and a bunch of locals when I went out to get something, had a house up the street surrounded, went back in in case of flak, never heard no shots, were still there a couple hours later when Rita came home.  They should a tossed a flash bang in like they did near the other house a few years ago, worked too, scared the heck out of us, but they got the puke with out anyone getting hurt.  Liberals whine when they shoot one, they whine when they catch them with out shooting them, guess liberals just whine.

39 and clouds here. Just enough light to see'em. No rain yet, but it's on it's way.

The door has stayed shut, nobody's been there yet ::)

Mornin’, y’all.

Good ta hear from ya, Stu.

Nice out now. Predictin’ seventy sumthin’.

Got ta play with suspicious situations with residential ‘n commercial buildin’s – a lot – when I had the puppies. By the time we got flash-bangs I was doin’ the detective stuff ‘n they wouldn’t let me play with ‘em. Hell, by then they wouldn’t let me in the armory unescorted no more. Said I didn’t have a need ta be there. Need? Flash-bangs are fun. A man don’t ‘need’ fun? Gas grenades I did get ta play with had puny flashes ‘n just popped a l’il.

Kinda strange ‘bout Ft. Hood. The village idiots were talkin’ ‘bout some clown with a given name of ‘Booker’ who changed it to Mohoggerham al Shittehaid, or some such, who’d joined the Army to do geehaw on Ft. Hood then this happens.

Marxists are goin’ bananas over Ft. Hood wantin’ guns banned. Didn’t hear much from ‘em ‘bout a sailor gettin’ killed at the base last week. Reckon that’s cuz the convicted felon (dope dealin’ ‘n manslaughter) what had no business on the base to began with, strolled up the gangplank to the QD of the DDG Mahan unarmed. He slapped the crap outta a l’il girl sailor standin’ watch ‘n took hers. Reckon they don’t wanna bring up federal incompetence.

Thanks for the Cawffee this morning. We have more rain for today, and a high in the low 80s. Fort Hood is one of the army bases in the USA. I had to check my pistol with the Provost Marshal when I was at Fort Sill. I could check it out when I was leaving post to shoot targets, and return it when I got back.
