Grizzly Adams,
Just read through all the posts on the '76 and I think it would be a good idea.  I was able to pick up a Cimarron by Uberti a couple of weeks ago.  Havn't been able to shoot it yet, don't have any brass. But I got my dies three days ago and have my brass on order from Rocky Mountain Cartridge Co.  Mine is the 28" rifle and it sure feels good when you shoulder the weapon. Looking forward to hearing more from others.  By the way I"ll be shooting BP only.

Thanks Texas Sarge

Howdy, Texas Sarge!  Congratulations on your new 76.  Your going to love it!  :)

What caliber did you get?  Lets us know, maybe we can put you onto some brass.

Yep.  Count me in too.   Here is my baby in 45-60 Uberti made from Taylors.  I have lots of factory ammo from TenX.

It loads and shoots like a dream.   Regards.  Deadeye.

I'm in.  Just as soon as we can find a home (like the Spencer Shooting Society) I'll post a link in my blog entry and sidebar...  I've got a Chaparral NWMP SRC (.45-75 of course) and am up to a couple hundred cases...   ;)
Sincerely,

Hobie

Thanks mightily - your work has been invaluable in getting this beauty up and running, especially for the 45-75'ers!

OK. Finally got registered and got logged-in.
Here we be.
Hobie, Excellent page. Thanks for the link!
Agree that maybe we should consider adding some of the other big leverguns, like the '86s and '95s.
(Wouldn't even break my heart to include the Marlin '81s and '93s in here, but that's just my personal opinion. ;D)(Uh Oh! Doc said the "M" word! :o)
Well. Now that I've gotten here and no-doubt started trouble, I've got to go and drive home...and it's pouring RAINING...IN TUCSON!! ???
Yeesh!
Later Pards.
I'll be back.
Great idea Griz! Thanks.

Glad ya made it, Doc. :)  Drive careful in that rain.  Looks like it's on its way to New Mexico.  Boy, we can use it!

Grizzly, what likes 86s and 95s too~ ;)

Cap Roundtree has joined the ranks. :)

He says he has, " 2 Winchester 1876's
1. 45-60 WCF 30" SST
2. 40-60 WCF
Also have a Chaparral in 45-75 WCF and it is a fine shooter.
So please count me in on this. As the 1876 is my FAVORITE Winchester Lever Action."

Count me in.
It took awhile but I finally got my Uberti 76 to shoot well, even if it's only with smokeless.
Black powder loads are next.
