Like a real hot rod it's fast but don't go far with outfeeding.

That would describe me to a "T"!

The young CNC computer operator at my old work 20,
bought a Tesla Model 3, I got a ride in it, Ill give you this it was instant ZIP quick.

The thing had 18" touch screen in the center of the dash for all the visuals, knobs and do-dads.
It looked like it was just hung there like a flat screen TV on a wall.

It was eerie quiet, just some tire noise not even electric motor Wurr.

Ford has all those E's sitting around they can sell, I joked they could give me one, would get me anywhere I go, but not back because when I get there they ain't any electricity to charge in, Saddle Batteries? ;D

Couple major “issues” with EV’s

+ range. I may not put a lot of miles on, but if I can only go (realisticLly) 300 miles that is a deal breker.
+ charging stations too few to go around, people are waiting in line for couple hours, and - almost none out here
+ what happens when 5e battery pack needs replacing? The claim is “you’ll trade it in before that” .
       Well, I am still driving  2 subarus, a 2005 and a 1993!
+ cost of charging - when electric hits 20-25 cents a kwh (and home charging takes 6-8 hrs ) thats another deal breaker.

Tree huggers claim its for the environment … but one is just shoving the pollution down the line to the polluting public service generating plant.

You bet, See you TOMORROW....

No EV cars in my purchase future either
I'm driving less that 100 miles a week mostly, sometime less than 50  :-\
I'm not buying any a 60,000 + 'lectric car.

now if'n' the liberals want me to get one, they will need to buy it for me  ;D

Elon Musk's Testa puck-up truck  aka  Cybertruck.
Thanks Major. I was wondering if that was Tesla.
On another note, I now put less than 10,000 miles a year on my car. Based on that, I'd save around $700 per year in fuel costs if I bought an electric car. $700 sounds good. That's a nice saving but I'd have to kick in at least $30,000 and my car for an EV. At my age I'd never see the payback. I'll be sticking with my gasoline powered vehicle until the end of the trail.

Storms missed us mostly, ain't been out but hear chainsaws, back and front yard seem to be intact, mom the same, so no worries.

More details soon but Rita and I are moving, downsizing, me big time, a lot of tools going to the kids, casting equipment going to Gopher Grease.  Keeping enough to load for what I shoot as far as the rest of the loading stuff.  Keeping most the cook gear.

Will have my own office room like we planned here till grandkid moved in.  Getting her out on her own and her getting a car and license made it much easier.  Smaller, less steps and no basement.

More later.
