That is crazy.  Glad you didn't have more damage.

No naders here in Madison, but friends who farm between Columbus and David City had 7 inches of rain in one field.

I hear they got quite a bit towards Omaha as well.

Between Monday and Tuesday 7 1/2" of rain. Has to be some kind of record. All the mulch we had laid down got washed down and sieved through the neighbor's cyclone fence. I'm gonna give a day to dry out a bit and then rake it up and re-spread it where it was. Only two branches down of any size from winds, so that's lucky.

If only we could make it flow uphill to the dry plains…

Naders missed me again, wasn't even that close today, mostly over in Ioway, was one forming over Syracuse about 30 miles east of us, about 12 from the kids.  Never heard what happened with it, kids had bad hail.

Irony isn't even funny any more.  Got a nice younger couple across the street, nice people, rescue dogs, have a hybrid car and rid bikes most the time.

Got up and heard noise, Riley growled a little at the door.  Checked it out, they had their garage door converted to electric today.  Not a big deal but irony just the same. ::)

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are ready.

'Tis 58 and fog. "Areas of dense fog reducing visibilities to less than 1/4 mile at times in the morning. Cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the middle 70s. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent."

Ha.  My mother blamed people not going to church on it spreading as an insult. Since i tasted ivory soap for using frak ala the original battletar galactica (apparently it is all in the subtext). I figured Nimrod a safe bet.

Ol Bugs...was a wisecracking sage, one wacky wabbit...

"What a maroon, what an ignoramus"  ;D

What a Nimrod = “Mighty hunter”  is that not what Elmor Fudd fashioned himself?   :-\

And we can blame bugs bunny in his irony and the ignorance of the great unwashed for changing the meaning of nimrod from
“Mighty hunter”
To
“Complete idiot”

Ain’t irony grand? Especially when lost on the listener?
