Finally…. I found some free time to shoot what I promote… cowboy action shooting. On June 12, I am heading north for the 2009 Prince of the Pistoleer Match hosted by Powder Creek Cowboys. As of June 3, they have about 10 openings left for slow responders like me. So if you are a Kansan or living in a neighboring state with some time on your hand, load ’em up and send in your entry fee. Hey, they even waive the late penalty fee and will accept applications until the Monday, June 8th.
The match is limited to 80 shooters, so this one is up close and personal. 5 main stages per day and lots of time to visit with fellow shooters to brag about your scores or like me…. to find some good excuses.
The match will take place at Hodgdon’s Powder Creek CAS range located within the Powder Creek Shooting Park located in Lenexa, Kansas. Tournament application and directions to the range can be found on their web site www.powdercreekcowboys.org .
Powder Creek Cowboys has over 120 members and was founded after an initative by Tame Bill, SASS #30699L back in 2001.
