Obutthead Loves Duck Dynasty, Watches Aboard Air Force One

Via CBN:
http://blogs.cbn.com/beltwaybuzz/archive/2013/12/20/president-obama-watches-duck-dynasty.aspx

At the last White House Correspondents' Association Dinner I was walking towards the ballroom with my guests, Duck Dynasty's Willie and Korie Robertson, when a man dressed in a black suit approached them.

"I'm with the White House and I need you to come with me," he said. Willie and Korie obeyed and quickly disappeared, beard and all, into the crowd.

Some 45 minutes later the two reappeared at CBN's table grinning from ear to ear.

The man in the black suit had whisked them away to President Obama's private pre-dinner reception.

After waiting in line in front of Nicole Kidman and behind entertainer of the night, Conan O'Brien; Willie and Korie greeted President Obama.

"Wow, that's great!" I said. "What did you talk to him about?"

"He said he loves the show and watches it on Air Force One," Willie said.

"I know the Obama's are very particular about what they let their girls watch on TV so if our show is one they find acceptable, that's really great!" Korie said.

After the couple took their seats Korie replaced Willie's cufflinks with the pair he had just received from the commander in chief.

What's Wrong with America's Kids?
Compare Christmas Then (1913) & Now (2013)

Let's face it: There is something very, very wrong with kids today. It seems as though there are hordes of young psychopaths running around, wreaking havoc on others.

Two recent examples: and the reasons that I refer to these young people as psychopaths, are the "Knockout Game" in which a mob of youths target a random victim and punch him or her in the face, hoping to knock them unconscious with one blow, and the boy in Texas who got away with the murder of 4 innocent people because he was too wealthy to be punished like a normal person would have been.

Psychopathy is defined as either an aspect of personality or as a personality disorder, characterized by enduring dissocial or antisocial behavior, a diminished capacity for empathy or remorse, and poor behavioral controls or fearless dominance. (source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychopathy)

Lots of research has been done exploring whether psychopaths are born or created by circumstances. In the case of these teens, I believe that our society has created them. They have been raised with an entitlement mentality. They have parents who either ignore them and are not present, or who give in to every whim and constantly try to give them the "wow" factor, forever upping the ante with bigger and better gifts and experiences. Kids, even those who are mainly ignored and neglected are still constantly stimulated with television programs, movies, the internet, and cell phones. Their needs are met electronically and this removes the very vital element of empathy from their lives.

When every day is a trip to Disneyworld, how are you going to be satisfied with climbing a tree and finding animals in the clouds that float by?

When your entertainment consists of stealing cars, running down hookers, and shooting into crowds of people, like one popular video game, how will you be entertained by going skating or taking a walk in the woods?

I came across an article about the Christmas wish lists in 1913 versus this year's wish lists, and I believe that the list says it all. The differences illustrated in these two lists define our society, then and now.

In 1913, the yearned-for items were mostly simple ones. Many of them could be homemade by a loved one who cared enough to take the time to do so. The toys on the lists were "imagination toys" that required kids to playact scenarios in their minds.

1. Candy

2. Nuts

3. Rocking horse

4. Doll

5. Mittens/gloves

6. Toy train

7. Oranges

8. Books

9. Handkerchiefs

10. Skates

Fast forward to 2013. The most popular toys on the list are electronic stuffed animal that dispenses affection and companionship on command. Personally, the only items on this list I would have ever gotten my kids were the dollhouse, the Nerf Gun, and the Lego.

1. Furby Boom

2. Teksta Robotic puppy

3. LeapPad Ultra

4. Flying Fairy

5. Bug Hugs Elmo

6. Barbie Dream house

7. Giggly Monkey

8. Nerf Gun

9. Ninja Turtles

10. Lego

When you are forever seeking a greater "wow" factor in your belongings and your experiences, you're doomed to either be completely unsatisfied or to turn into the kind of little psychopath that we see every time we look at the news. If you are always looking for some type of excitement and stimulation that tops the last episode, then you will never be content with simplicity. If you look to your electronic devices for companionship and entertainment, you can't fully develop a love and empathy for your fellow man. Those random people on the street simply become a character in the video game that is your life, and causing them pain and harm means as little to you as pushing the buttons on your video game controller.

This Christmas, instead of going broke and focusing on the number of extravagant packages under the tree, focus on experiences. Focus on small simple things that you can't buy from the store. Homemade candy and cookies. Singing Christmas carols together. Going out with hot cocoa and looking at Christmas lights in a brightly decorated neighborhood. Have a snowball fight.

Children who grow up with traditions and with families who are present do not grow up to punch innocent strangers in the face or mow down pedestrians without regard. They develop qualities like empathy and kindness. They become productive members of society.

Idiot Flashes a Gun and Demands a Job Application

(He is definitely White House material)

Tevin Kievelle Monroe wanted a job application from a McDonald's in Norfolk, VA and he was not about to be denied. When he was told that he could apply online, he showed his piece and made a strong case for applying in person.

With the $15 per hour protests going around the country I have to wonder if Monroe knew what he was applying for here, because he was obviously not the smartest applicant. He might have been the most determined but how can you flash a gun to try to get a job at McDonald's, or anywhere for that matter?

WAVY 10 reports:
http://www.wavy.com/news/local/norfolk/man-with-gun-demands-mcdonalds-application

A man was arrested at a Norfolk McDonald's last week after demanding a job application with a gun, according to Chris Amos with Norfolk Police.

31-year-old Tevin Kievelle Monroe walked into the McDonald's restaurant across from Scope last Wednesday and asked the manager for an application. After the manager explained twice that applications were submitted online, Monroe lifted his shirt, revealing a gun tucked in his waistband, Amos said.

Amos said the manager asked Monroe to have a seat while she retrieved a paper application, but instead called 911.

For some unknown reason Monroe waited for the manager and was soon greeted by police. It is being reported that he was arrested without incident and is being charged with brandishing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.

At this point in time we do not know for certain if he landed the job.

Cover Oregon: If You Haven't Heard From Us By Monday – Seek Coverage Elsewhere

Another Obamacare success story...
Cover Oregon is robocalling applicants this week telling them if they haven't
received enrollment confirmation by Monday the 23rd of Dec., seek coverage elsewhere.

In other words – "Fly With Your Own Wings."

The Oregonian reported:
http://www.oregonlive.com/finance/index.ssf/2013/12/cover_oregon_if_you_dont_hear.html

Oregon's troubled health insurance exchange began robocalling applicants Friday, warning them that if they don't receive enrollment confirmation by Monday, they should seek coverage elsewhere for Jan. 1.

"If you haven't heard from us by Dec. 23, it is unlikely your application will be processed for Jan. 1 insurance coverage," a woman's voice on the pre-recorded call from Cover Oregon says. "If you want to be sure you have insurance coverage starting Jan. 1, you have other options."

It's yet another sign that the health insurance exchange's technological breakdowns will prevent some — perhaps many — Oregonians from getting subsidized coverage Jan. 1, despite Gov. John Kitzhaber's previous assurances otherwise. Out of more than 65,000 applicants, the exchange reports enrolling nearly 30,000, but only about 11,000 of them in private insurance plans.

Then there's this... Cover Oregon has banned its community partners from bad-mouthing the failed program by signing a non-disparagement agreement. That means that those community partners, including hospitals, are not allowed to speak in a negative fashion about Cover Oregon, or they risk losing their funding.

(This is that "every man for himself" thing the Democrats always say that the conservative individualists want to do to people.  Even Chicago citiizens are standing up against the corruption and the disregard.  I would suggest to POS Obuma that he remain in Hawaii for the rest of his term and the the Democrat Reps. and Senators join him on their own dime. This was all planned, folks.  Nationalized insurers right under our Congress' eyes.  Not only should all of those involved be arrested-they should be tarred and feathered for real)

White House: No "Plan B" If Obamacare Fails

(Actually there is a Plan B, they are going to stick the taxpayers with a massive bill)

Via Byron York:
http://washingtonexaminer.com/white-house-no-backup-plan-if-obamacare-fails/article/2541099

. . . Last Wednesday Jason Furman, chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, joined the Washington think tank Third Way for a wide-ranging discussion. Near the end of the session, Third Way scholar Bill Schneider brought up Obamacare. "Does the administration have any kind of backup plan — if not enough young healthy people sign up for the Affordable Care Act, what's going to happen?" Schneider asked. Noting that he teaches college classes, and his students don't seem particularly well-informed about Obamacare, Schneider continued, "What are you going to do if they don't sign up in large numbers? The numbers don't look that good for young healthy people."

Thurman's response was not particularly encouraging for the administration. "We actually don't have a great demographic breakdown," he said, "but what we do know is that there was a big increase in enrollment in November relative to October, and we've seen increasing demand in December, although we don't have the final numbers and we don't have the demographic breakdown."

Furman continued: "We're obviously making — it's not a Plan B — Plan A is to do the most aggressive enrollment efforts you can, with young people, using social media. You see the insurance companies doing paid advertising. It's in the insurance companies' interest to sign these people up." Beyond relying on a social media campaign, Furman argued, the work done by private business on behalf of Obamacare could be critical. "We're doing everything we can, but I think unleashing the private sector and the large amounts they're going to spend on advertising might be even more important," he said.

Schneider was still curious. "But you have no particular backup plan?"

"There's a Plan A," Furman answered. "Which is to enroll as many young healthy people as you possibly can."

Hawaii Dept Of Ed Keeping Sex-Ed Curriculum Secret

This is a program that they've already been teaching, yet once they find out parents want to review it, they wouldn't release it? The picture above is a copy of an 11 year old's notes from the sex-ed class.

HONOLULU, Hawaii — State Rep. Bob McDermott is mad, and he thinks you should be as well.
The Ewa Republican is outraged that the state Department of Education won't release a copy of its controversial sex-education curriculum, Pono Choices, now being taught to the state's 11-, 12- and 13-year-olds in public middle schools.

As a parent, taxpayer and legislator, McDermott said he should be able to get a copy of the 10-hour curriculum from either the state Department of Education or the University of Hawaii Center on Disability Studies, which developed the $800,000 pilot program.

"We are asking the public to demand that all materials used in the Pono Choices program be released to the public, whose tax money has already paid for it to be developed, so that they can be informed as to what is being put in front of their innocent children in our public education system," McDermott said Wednesday.

Log Cabin (Queer) Republicans Call Out Obamacare Enrollment Ads
For Perpetrating Gay Stereotypes

Warning... offensive stereotyping ahead:

The above ad is from Out2Enroll, which pitches Obamacare to the LGBT community.

Via (The Queer) Log Cabin:

Today Log Cabin Republicans, the only LGBT advocacy organization on the Obamacare Repeal Coalition, denounced a video advertisement by Out2Enroll exploiting gay stereotypes to encourage gay men to enroll in the Affordable Care Act.

"This cynical ad betrays the depths Obamacare advocates will sink to in order to pad their pathetic enrollment numbers," Log Cabin Republicans Executive Director Gregory T. Angelo declared. "As a self-proclaimed 'fierce advocate' of gay equality, President Obama would do well to distance himself from this nonsense and denounce it immediately. This ad is also an example of the left promoting harmful stereotypes that gay men are nothing more than sex-crazed lechers. If anyone on the right made such a comparison, liberals would be apoplectic. At a time when left-wing propagandists are decrying Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson for equating homosexuality with promiscuity and deviance, Out2Enroll and others should take a look in the mirror and ask if the truth is that they are the ones responsible for promoting such harmful stereotypes."

Americans now see, often first-hand, that Obamacare is a disaster.  From employee hours being cut, to rising health insurance premiums, to losing doctors and insurance plans, Obamacare is bad for the country.

Our New Year's Resolution for 2014 is to continue the fight to save Americans from Obamacare.

British Grocery Store Chain Tells Muslim Employees They
Can Refuse To Serve Shoppers Buying Alcohol Or Pork

(Celebrate multiculturalism!)

Via Daily Mail:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2527820/Marks-Spencer-tells-Muslim-staff-CAN-refuse-serve-customers-buying-alcohol-pork.html

Marks & Spencer has told Muslim staff they can refuse to serve shoppers buying alcohol or pork, it has been revealed.
The chain has granted checkout workers in more than 700 stores permission to politely decline to serve customers for religious reasons.

Instead, shoppers are being asked to wait to pay for certain items at a different till.

The policy highlights a divide among the mainstream food retailers over whether religious staff should be excused from certain tasks.

In contrast to M&S, Sainsbury's has told Muslim staff that there is no reason why they cannot handle goods such as alcohol and pork – even if they are not allowed to eat or drink the products.

A spokesman said the retailer's official guidelines – which see everyone treated 'fairly' – were written following consultations with religious groups, according to The Sunday Telegraph.

However, Morrisons – which is based in Bradford, where there is a large Muslim population – said it had a long-standing commitment to 'respecting and working around' workers' wishes not to handle certain products for religious or cultural reasons.
