If it's of any interest to all of you, the Patriot Guard was started by a member of the Mulvane American Legion. I'm quite sure someone has already contacted the family or the funeral home about being there.  I work with a member of the Patriot Guard and they are very consciencous about protecting the family of any veteran in the their time of grief.

most interested... I didn't know it was started in Kansas.....what a great way to honor fallen heroes

There is a rumor that the idiot and sicko Fred Phelps "might" be thinking of coming to protest at the funeral.
Apparently he doesn't like to come to the little towns as he doesn't have 'enough protection support'.
HA~~ You got that right Freddie ole' boy..
Show your nasty serpent head in this town at a soldiers funeral and it just might be the last time you'll want to protest anything like this again.  .
Country boy (and girl) rednecks don't cotton to sickos that do the things that you do.. and I don't imagine our police force will be looking your way if you need "protective help"..
Best stay away Mr Phelps......

take a look at the pic to see  what  Houston does to protect our vets

with the family's permission, of course

the bikes escort the soldier from the airport to his/her final destination. and makes sure no one disturbs the services

they are called the Patriot Guard.  they are all over the country

http://www.patriotguard.org/

and yes kansas does have their own patriot guard

You can look for the hologram, but also look for the metallic strip that is in the bill.  It should say USA hundred, or USA TWENTY

I am strongly thinking he must have abused his daughter, possibly sexually.  What thoughts do the rest of you have?

Did you know that Lonesome Dove was based on the life and stories of Charles Goodnight and Oliver Loving?

Did you know that the Goodnight family of Howard are relations to Charles Goodnight?

Charles Goodnight had no surviving children but lots of nieces and nephews, and the late Ed Goodnight of Howard, Kansas, is considered a nephew of his.

Now I am not that much into geneaology (nor can I spell it) but Ed's great grandpa (i believe it was one great) was the brother of Charles Goodnight.

I believe Lucas (the director) grew up in Modesto, CA, and wanted the movie to portray the Modesto he remembered growing up in.

I just looked at the Kansas film site and I couldn't find American Graffiti.  I thought at least part of that movie was filmed at the Wichita Drive Inn Movie.  Am I wrong?

Okay ---------just what is Ta Ta's profile picture????  For the life of me, it just does NOT click in to anything that I can relate to.

I'm sure I'm missing something here.  Personally, I like the bison better.
