Norman Grundy of Eureka, Kansas, passed away on March 15, 2024 at Ascension St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 77.  He was born on August 13, 1946 in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Herschell Ledger and Norma Olive (Denner) Grundy.

Norman was raised in Climax, Kansas and attended Severy schools in Severy, Kansas, graduating from Severy High School.  He later attended Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas.

On July 19, 1969, Norman was united in marriage to Sue Ann Ervin.  To this union were born two children, Lisa and Daniel.  Norman managed the Severy Co-Op before purchasing S&N Propane in Big Cabin, Oklahoma.  Later they purchased the Bluestem Lodge, and he helped operate it until his retirement in 2003.  Sue preceded him in death on November 11, 2022.

On September 20, 2003, Norman was united in marriage to Elizabeth "Diane" (Bailey) Snyder in Jemez Springs, New Mexico.  He attended the Methodist Church.  He enjoyed traveling, but especially he liked boating.  Spending time on a lake somewhere was one of his greatest pleasures.  Norman was also a rancher, and his working life came second to his cattle.
