If you have ever been curious about what black powder shooting is like, here is your opportunity to learn the basics and do some shooting.
Club members Mark St. Amand. Terry Whitney, Steve Crowningshield, Bob Hanrahan, and other experienced black powder shooters will be on hand at the pistol and rifle ranges to share their knowledge and their guns. You will have the opportunity to shoot revolvers, rifles and shotguns! We can discuss loading techniques, tools, getting started, what kind of gun to buy, troubleshooting, and maybe even sneak in a little history!
Twenty people from throughout the region competed in the shootout, which tested their aim using either cap and ball revolvers or cartridge revolvers, said Bryan Ivlow, treasurer of the Friends of the James Farm.
