Gramp's ol' brown gun

Hext, I hate to reveal how ancient I am, but the Colt I bought when I was a teenager has turned brown. Absolutely no pitting, still slick, but a beautiful patina brown. My little brother had it for a few years and didn't oil it as much as I do. It got dry, but not a single sign of rust or etching. Just brown. But to answer your question ...................... I have no idea.
