I was compairing my 1860 spencer with my 65 that has the cut off on it and noticed that the lowwer breech blocks where different.  The one with the cutoff had a retangular cut up the back to fit the Stablerdevice,whereas the 1860 had a circulare one. I was wondering what the Armi Sport Spencers where shapped like?

Here you guy I brought this up from a Sept 17 2005 posting I made on this same topic.  Go back to about page 8 and find a posting about loading gun on the clock!!!!  Or something like that.  We talked about the Stabler back then also.  So I went looking for a good pictures.  Here is the best I found

Below is a link to a good picture of a Stabler cutoff.  As French Jack stated and I trusted his comment it require modification to the lower block.  I will not cut my new Taylor.  Hope the link works.  If not search Google under Stabler cutoff.
