Great new book on Pat Garrett &...

[Navy Six]

Just received a copy of a new book entitled " THE AUTHENTIC DEATH & CONTENTIOUS AFTERLIFE OF PAT GARRETT and BILLY THE KID" (Northwestern University Press) by Paul Seydor. I thought it was going to be soley about Sam Peckinpah's movie, which is one of my all time favorites. Pleasantly suprised to find the first half is a nicely researched account of the real incident. Haven't finished it yet, but it looks like I got the best of both worlds on this one.
