Win/Miroku 92 case hardening
« on: May 09, 2014, 01:23:30 AM »
I couldn't find a better sub-forum to post on, and I have a couple of '73's so maybe it's ok.  :)

I have a Rossi 92, but I really like Miroku quality and want one with a case colored receiver.
The 73 Win/Miroku CCH rifles (like Uberti's) have the classic "contrast", but the only Miroku 92's I have seen have a very subtle CC.
For anyone who has seen the 92 Miroku CCH, is that more traditional than the Uberti or 73 Miroku CCH?

I have two Browning/Miroku 86's and a Win/Miroku 73 (blued).  I can't say enough good about them.

I have not handled a Miroku 92 but the color case I've seen on Winchester 1892 has a lot of blues and a even mottled pattern. This was not the standard blued finish of all 1892s but a special order option. The bolder pattern on 1873 Uberti is typical of the Winchester 1873.
