Fired some loads in my 1873 lever rifle this weekend.  I figured about 37 grains, they went "BOOM".  I can see why that is addicting.  One friend lost a round and I tossed him one of mine, he was not paying attention and when it went off it (revolver) he and the others in that posse were, uhhm, surprised. 

Did not have properly lubed bullets though so was a mess to clean but still . . .

That is fun.
