Since my statute of limitations is up, I will say the 375 Winchester Big Bore 94 is an fine fish gun although I've only used it on rough fish aka carp.  The idea is to hit close enough to disrupt the swim bladder similar to a DuPont Lure only with less collateral damage.  With that big flat nosed bullet I think it would be a fine fish rifle. ;D

My Dad and his brothers used to regularly "go fishing" with the family .22 in the creek where they were growing up. Just find a big one hiding in an undercut bank, or under some tree roots, stick the muzzle in the water near him....POP! pick him up and look for the next one. I'm pretty sure the statute of limitations has run out on that one, too....was back in the '30s.

I still have that .22, Win 1890 pump, re-chambered to long rifle, with brass screws and old cloth friction tape repairing the stock.
