What is a prewar 44wcf worth ???

What are prewar's going for now ? I have a 5 1/2 inch barrel with the factory grips . Sure would love to trade for a 45 lc .  ;D ;D ;D

Current Blue Book says last MSRP was $1495.  At 100 % = $1395, 98% = $1200, 95% = $995, 90% = $825.  My observation is that Blue Book is low for USFA guns now.  Gun Broker seems to get a much higher dollar.  So there's a few data points (for what it's worth...pun intended)  :)

Recently, it appears to be what the market will bear. People are asking some outrageous prices on the auction sites and some seem to be foolish enough to ante up. Apparently,  Barnum was right.
