Hi all! I was wondering if somebody in this forum might be able to give me any info as to what instruments our Field force would of used during the battle of Batache. Im pretty sure there would of been a bugle for some of the advances. But what about drums? bagpipes??.. ect..?  Rattle Snake Jack im looking in your direction! Or anybody else with information on the topic  ;D

To be honest, I don't recall having read anything about what instruments may have been along, other than bugles and, possibly, drums.  I don't think there would have been any bagpipes, as there were no Highland battalions in the field force.
