Stu Kettle

John,
If you want to bring bullets, powder & primers I'll bring my hand press & we can load a few in camp if you need to.

River City John

Stu,

I loaded up all the bullets I had. Powder and primer aren't the issue. Need to order some more 330 gr.

GAF is the only venue I shoot the Vetterli, so I should be able to order some more before I'll need to reload again in the Fall.

What worries me most is that I noticed the .41 Swiss sizing/decapper die I'm using subtly scored the side of the cases. I hope they don't start to split on me.

We'll find out.

Be good to see you again, Stu.

Drydock

I'll be using a Krag and a .45 SAA.  Donnie will use his Mosin and a Nagant Revolver.  Been waiting for Payday (today!) and the check will be in the mail Friday.
Civilize them with a Krag . . .

What is the schedule for the shoot?

On 7/10, I will be in Waukee IA with the Army of the Southwest, participating in a color guard at a drum & bugle corp competition.

Arrive in area on July 11th.

I'll be shooting the Lebel, along with an "1873 revolver"(Unfortunately, it's Colt clone instead of 1873 French Ordinance revolver) Probably arrive sometime early Friday morning.

G.W. Strong

I will be shooting my '84 trapdoor in 45/70 in black (of course!) and a SAA in 45 colt (also in black)

I should arrive sometime late on wednesday if I push hard or more likely Thursday before Noon if I stop in Council Bluffs again to sleep.

Heck G.W., if you're gonna stop to sleep in Council Bluffs, ya might as well cross over the Missouri and I'll put you up Wednesday night and then we can caravan in to Ft. Pitsptr Thursday morning.
What say you?

What is the schedule for the shoot?

We'll shoot the Expansion Era Match Friday morning and the Sharpshooter match Friday afternoon and evening. Saturday we'll shoot the main match. If anybody can't make it in for the Sharpshooter match Friday, we should have time to catch them up on Saturday evening or Sunday morning and we'll use Sunday morning to finish up anything that we didn't get done on Friday or Saturday. Also if anybody is interested in shooting a Zoot match, we can use the GAF target setups and shoot them again with our Zoot guns. If you want to shoot but don't have your own Zoot guns, bring some .45 ACP and I can probably let you use mine. I figure over the course of the weekend we should have plenty of time to shoot the breeze, play show and tell, ect. I know Major Strong asked that I pull out my M-1874 equipment and do a Display like I did last fall at the Grand Muster and describe the various pieces. We'll work that in some evening.

Gripmaker

Pitsptr,  It is now official that I won't be able to make the DOM Muster again this year.  I am almost certain that I will need to make a business trip to Lynchburg, VA during that time. This just came about earlier this week. I was anxiously waiting to hear if I could come but this must take precedence. Enjoy the time and all who will, please pray for my wife and I on this endeavor.

I'm sorry to hear that. :( One of these days we'll be able to get my whole staff here.

I have decided to shoot my '84 carbine rather than the '84 rifle I shot last year.

Plans have changed, family will be accompanying me on this campaign, so I guess we will be finding someplace to stay in Sargent or thereabouts. No need for tent space. We'll figure out what's happening with meals as we go.

Can't help with the Colonel's cot dilemma, I opened up the two I had out in the shed, and found them to be in similar condition. Guess I'll be buying some canvas before the Grand Muster for repairs.

Delmonico

I think the best bet is Taylor a bit north, don't think there is a place in Sargent.

I stayed in a small motel in Taylor. It only has about 4 rooms.

I'm planning on the cheese steaks and biscuts with some sort of dessert for those in on thursday evening, we'll have it just before sundown, that way we should catch most of the stagglers for that day, also it's something I can whip up extra for someone a bit late.

BTW my phone 3 is 402-432-0339 in case anyone gets lost or needs a shuttle up to camp and don't mind riding in the General.  ;)

I'm sure Jerry will have his phone on also but it's perhaps best to have a back-up.

I saw a couple of places in Sargent on their website, probably like a bed &Breakfast, maybe 1 or two rooms. Haven't made any calls yet.
