Ho pards........

Got me a 1860 Army (Fluted cylinder)Westerners Arms (Uberti) a couple of weeks ago, I just could not resist it!! It called out to me!!
It had been Very badly neglected    I`ve managed to bring it back to life, the top of the bolt fell to pieces as I removed it from the gun!! The bore had a LOT of light pitting, I`ve manged to remove nearly all now, I`m going to shoot it on Wednesday so hopefully I`ll have some piccies fer ya!!

Like I said I`ll be shootin it fer the first time t`morrow  Hopefully Annie `O` will be able ta get it breatin fire!!

I gotta tell ya I`m reeeeel chuffed with it now!! it cycles... `sweet as a nut` its now got a new hand/spring, new bolt. It was in a reeel sorry state,

Me `n` Annie `O` went ta the range ta get some piccies of my 1860 beltchi fire `n` smoke, BUT!! had nothin but problems!!
Caps jammin the werks and the like, sooooo, we decided that we would have a re-run when I`ve made up `nother set of my conversion jobbies,

I had forgotten jest how much crud `n` sparks came back atcha!!

So fergive me but we aint got no piccies.............yet!!

BTW, what are the most commonly available brands and sizes of percussion caps in the UK?

For all you other Frontiersmen, I've seen PUK's "conversion jobbies".  They are nips made to accept a small pistol primer with a screw-on cover.  They are the cat's meow!

Theres no real problem with any of the most popular flavours/sizes of percussion caps here in Jolly ole England .....Well, at least it will be jolly once we get rid of the morons that are currently running the show!!

Most of the pards use either Remmie #11s or CCI #10s depending on the nipple
